Gluten Free Smoothies

I love smoothies and banana or strawberry smoothies are my favourite and make a fantastic delicious and quick breakfast choice. They're easy to whip up, they're healthy, and they taste great!

The best kitchen tool to make a smoothie recipe with is a food processor or blender. Alternatively, if you're using a regular blender, you can cut the frozen strawberries into smaller pieces to make them easier to puree for these smoothies.

Prep Time: 3 minutes
Cook Time: 2 minutes
Ingredients:
• 1-1/2 cups frozen strawberries or 1 large banana (2 small)
• 1 cup frozen unsweetened pineapple chunks
• 1 cup low-fat vanilla soy milk
• 2 tsp. honey
• 1/2 cup non-fat vanilla yogurt or vanilla soy yogurt

Preparation:

1. Place frozen strawberries and pineapple chunks or bananas in a blender or food processor.
You may want to cut the strawberries and or bananas in half beforehand to make it easier to puree them.
2. Add remaining ingredients in the order listed.
3. Cover and puree until smooth.
Makes 2-3 servings.

TIP:  Add 2 tablespoons of GF protein powder and get more bang into your smoothie!  You will be full for hours.

Enjoy!
